Apply to be an Adviser

Applications to become an approved Designated Professional are regularly considered by the Practitioner’s Committee of Investbx. Appointment as a Designated Professional is valid for twelve months from the date of approval by reference to the following three categories.

  • Corporate Adviser
  • Reporting Accountant
  • Lawyer

In order to become an approved Designated Professional a firm must:

  • be in good standing with their regulatory body or bodies;
  • maintain a permanent establishment in the West Midlands staffed by appropriately qualified personnel to carry out the role of Designated Professional;
  • demonstrate evidence that the firm has played a significant role as corporate adviser, reporting accountant or lawyer, in raising capital from investors in the twelve months prior to admission; and
  • agree to act with due care, skill and competence in relation to its responsibilities under the Admission Principles.
