Investbx recognises that whilst a company might want all the benefits of being on a stock market, including increased visibility and liquidity for shareholders, they might wish to retain control over who can buy and sell shares.

A company may for example be concerned about hostile take over bids, and want protection against them.

That’s why Investbx offers a ‘closed market’ option.

A closed market allows a company to completely control who can buy and sell its shares. Access can be restricted to existing shareholders and employees, the local community or customers.

Whichever route a company chooses, Investbx will control access by issuing customer references and PINs to people who are allowed to buy or sell.

Anyone who can’t provide this information will not be able to deal. However, they can be referred to the company for ‘approval’.

Investbx will also manage ongoing changes and additions to data, to ensure that the list of ‘qualifying people’ remains up-to-date and accurate.

Each time a new person is given the right to deal, Investbx will communicate with that person explaining how the market works and how a sale or purchase can be completed.
