Encouraging liquidity

The Investbx Regional Share Trading Facility focuses on the buying and selling of shares in SMEs in West Midlands based SMEs, aiming to be low-cost, simple, accessible and highly visible.

It aims to be low-cost, simple, accessible and highly visible and provides the following services for companies, investors and shareholders.

Companies
There are two services for companies available through the Investbx trading platform:

  • Single Trading: Companies that are traded via Investbx for the purpose of allowing investors to trade shares.
  • Dual Trading: Companies that are traded via Investbx and certain other markets for the purpose of allowing investors to trade shares at a single price, when the bid/offer spread on the primary market is wide.

Features of the Investbx trading platform

  • Shares are traded at a single price and because there's no bid/offer spread Investbx provides efficient, cost-effective dealing for both companies and investors.
  • Trades between buyers and sellers are 'matched’, without the requirement for a market-maker.

Investors and shareholders
If a company is raising equity investors will be able to apply for new issue shares on flotation directly online or via financial intermediaries. The admissions document will be available via the Investbx website. In order to provide protection for investors, companies joining Investbx must meet a set of regulatory and disclosure requirements.

Investment advisers
Investors can purchase shares traded via Investbx in much the same way as other shares. Price limits are set for both buy and sell orders. Value orders allowing investors to invest a pre-determined sum, can also be set.
